Robby Storey
I believe therapy is a deeply collaborative process—an opportunity to make sense of our stories and reclaim authorship of our lives. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where individuals, couples, and families can explore challenges, cultivate resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
I work from an integrative, trauma-informed perspective rooted in postmodern and psychodynamic approaches, while drawing on other modalities as needed. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, masculinity, spiritual and existential concerns, generational and religious trauma, and the unique experiences of those navigating disability or visual impairment. I am also an affirming ally for LGBTQ+ clients.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years as a writer, video editor, and filmmaker. That creative background continues to shape my approach to therapy—I’m especially interested in how personal narratives evolve and how people discover new meaning through reflection and connection.
I’m originally from Texas and received my BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. Later, I earned my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles where I lived for 11 years. As someone living with low vision due to Dominant Optic Atrophy, I bring personal understanding of the intersection between identity, creativity, and disability.
