ABOUT
Liselotte McQuien
Feeling like your emotions are overwhelming, intrusive, and exhausting? You are not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself!
My name is Liselotte McQuien, I enjoy working collaboratively with clients in finding effective strategies for emotion regulation, having difficult conversations about boundaries with loved ones, or discovering more about yourself and improving your self-esteem! Whatever you are struggling with, I want to help. If you’re ready to stop just “getting through it” and start truly growing through it, let’s talk.
I specialize in treating mood disorders, emotion regulation and interpersonal issues, with a particular focus on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed skills and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I enjoy incorporating mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques in the therapy session. It is my firm belief, however, that therapy is to be tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Therefore, I strive to be as collaborative as possible in creating a treatment plan to achieve your therapy goals.
I previously had the privilege of leading groups for those suffering from alcohol and drug addiction, as well as emotional disregulation issues, and have discovered an appreciation for walking through such a challenging time with the client. Healing begins with one step and I’m here to walk alongside you when you’re ready to take it.
