Clay is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, under the supervision of Kimberly Huff-Howard, LPC-S. Clay and graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health in 2017. He worked for a few years in the medical field where he saw, daily, the need for not only physical health, but mental health as well. This inspired Clay to go back to school to get a counseling degree so that he could help people in this way. He graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Counseling in 2022.
Clay believes that people have the ability to adapt and overcome life’s challenges. Through a holistic approach, he believes that a person can navigate the hardships of life and gain a better understanding of themselves. Clay believes everyone deserves to receive compassionate and respectful care. He enjoys working with people of all ages and walks of life. Anxiety, grief, anger management, low self-esteem, nutritional impact on mental health and relational issues are a few of the areas in which he enjoys working.
Clay married his wife Bethany in 2020. When he is not working with clients, Clay enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading books, working with his church, playing sports, and running. Clay loves meeting new clients and building therapeutic relationships. He realizes choosing to seek help can be difficult, and also how rewarding it can be.
