ABOUT
Clay Robinson
Hello! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Kimberly Huff-Howard, LPC-S. I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health. After a few years working in the medical field, I witnessed firsthand the vital connection between physical and mental health, which inspired me to pursue a Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, graduating in 2022.
I believe that people have the capacity to adapt, grow, and overcome life’s challenges. Through a holistic approach, I work with clients to navigate hardships, deepen self-understanding, and move toward healing and balance. I strive to provide compassionate, respectful care for people of all ages and backgrounds. My areas of focus include anxiety, grief, anger management, low self-esteem, the impact of nutrition on mental health, relational concerns, and performance-related challenges within sports and after.
As an athlete, you’re often told to “push through” adversity—but that mindset can sometimes leave mental health struggles overlooked or internalized. I’m passionate about helping athletes navigate these challenges by addressing issues such as anxiety, perfectionism, external pressures, burnout, and the transition to life after sport. My goal is to create a safe space where athletes can build resilience, gain self-awareness, and strengthen both their mental and emotional well-being.
Outside the counseling room, I’m married to my wonderful wife, Bethany. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, staying active, being involved in my church, and playing sports. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and feel honored when clients take that courageous first step toward seeking help. I know it’s not always easy—but it’s one of the most meaningful steps a person can take toward lasting growth.
