ABOUT

Robin Henderson

As the daughter of a social worker, I endured many years of mandatory volunteering during my teenage years. As an adult, I am forever grateful to my mother for giving me the opportunity to learn the numerous, valuable life lessons that come with the privilege of serving others. Helping people became second nature to me, so it was unmistakably clear that social work was my calling. I’ve always been curious from a very young age and eager to ask questions and understand the world and the people around me. This curiosity, paired with an intuitive nature, allowed me to pick up on subtle cues and emotions, fostering my passion for helping others.

My goal in therapy is to help clients recognize and utilize their strengths and resources to build resilience and achieve positive change. While I approach counseling from a Christian perspective, I adapt to each client’s preferences, integrating faithbased elements only if desired. Collaboratively, we develop a personalized plan focused on healing and progress.

My therapeutic approach is a blending of cognitivebehavioral techniques with a strengthsbased and solutionfocused perspective. Neurofeedback can be combined, if desired. I utilize logical thinking and reasoning to guide clients through complex emotions and situations. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in an array of settings, and I draw on my experience, knowledge, and skills to walk alongside clients offering tools to be used when navigating the complexities of life.

Circumstances do not control outcomes. We can choose how to respond to things outside of our control. I help clients realize the transformative power of choice. With a straightforward, structured style, I assist clients in setting and achieving goals. My curiosity drives me to explore each client’s unique story, while my ability to read people and apply logical reasoning ensures tailored, effective strategies. Utilizing my diverse experience, I partner with clients, equipping them to face challenges and sustain progress toward lasting change.

I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become. Carl Jung
