ABOUT
Michelle Groff
My path into the counseling profession began with my own struggle with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and my son’s recovery from drug addiction. Through these experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for the courage it takes to reach out for help and the benefits of having an empathetic and clinically trained counselor. As a result, my husband Chris and I started a nonprofit with two other therapists called Parenting By Design and began speaking to parent groups. It was so rewarding that I decided to get my Masters in counseling and become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
My passion is to walk with clients through relational and emotional issues. My goal has been to combine personal experience with excellent training. I offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Habit Reversal Training, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention. I have co-authored two books – Parenting by Design Discovering God’s Original Plan for Your Family and Timeless Originals, a 90-day devotional.
My hope is to provide a safe and warm environment for exploring difficult issues. While I come from a Christian worldview, my counseling is not limited to faith-based therapy.
