Specialties: Anxiety, Codependence, Trauma, and Grief

History: Counseling to me is a calling. I consider my path to becoming a counselor one that was designed to teach me the reality of pain and empathy, so that I might sit with others struggling through hardships. My passion has continued to grow and thrive as I’ve worked with clients struggling with drug addiction, anxiety, co-dependency, trauma, spiritual issues, relationship issues, and identity issues. In addition to treating those who’ve struggled with addiction, I’ve worked with families who have loved ones with addiction. I have had the opportunity to provide support groups and psycho-educational lectures to loved ones wanting to learn how to support those with addictions, unhealthy coping patterns, and unhealthy expressions of emotions.
My clients over the past few years are adults and children with a wide variety of struggles. In addition to individual and family counseling, I lead a DBT skills group for adults. Originally from East Texas, I attended LeTourneau University and received my Bachelors degree in Psychology in 2009. After college, I attended Dallas Theological Seminary, where I completed my Masters in Counseling in 2013. I seek to provide a safe, therapeutic environment where clients can learn to walk in freedom and hope, and gladly integrate faith perspectives when welcomed by the client. I believe that healing happens through relationships, and I am committed to providing an environment to foster positive transformation.
